Aspetika Bioreactor SamplerTM
The Bioreactor Sampler from Aseptika is a flexible and expandable system and is available as: 6, 12 or 18 sample capacity. Further Sample Modules (3 Sample Syringes on each Sample Module) can be added to give up to 21 samples.
The Bioreactor Sampler can be used with any type of bioreactor or fermentor (reusable glass and steel or single-use), which means that it is universally applicable to nearly every bioreactor or fermentor in your facility. Single-use means no cleaning, autoclaving and no contamination.
The Bioreactor Sampler can be connected using the Luer-Lok® connector (supplied as standard), welded to the sample line of the bioreactor using a tube welder or can be supplied with a fitting that meets your requirements (please enquire).
Sample Syringes are removed using the Aseptika Tube Sealer to seal the tubing, which can then be removed.
Why use a single-use sampling device?
Monitoring, assaying and recording parameters off-line is an essential part of running and maintaining a bioreactor or fermentor.
Taking samples is risky but it is also a necessity. So sampling a bioreactor requires care and rigorous aseptic techniques.
Mammalian cell cultures are particularly at risk of contamination because of the rich media used and the length of time for which the culture is often run. Losing a culture due to contamination is costly - not only is the media expensive but the time lost in restarting the bioreactor/fermentor can put important projects in jeopardy.
The Aseptika Bioreactor SamplerTM (patent applied for) helps you withdraw samples so that no contamination is permitted to enter the bioreactor and reduces the exposure of the operator to the sample.
